Mural at Meadfurlong School

The Mural Project at Meadfurlong School was part of a learning network in Woughton which was funded by the DFES Network Fund.

The project involved Milton Keynes Gallery who paid for two artists in residence to work in the school with year four children. The artists involved the children, once a week for a term, in the research, design and completion of the murals which now brighten up the school courtyard. All materials used within the project were supplied by the artists who also worked in other schools in Woughton on different projects. The Headmaster of Meadfurlong School, Mr Bailey, said “it was a project which had an educational value and has brightened up the courtyard”.
